I often think about the person that I use to be. How needy I was of love and attention. How I wanted nothing more than to be Happy, but with the satisfaction of knowing that someone other than myself was responsible for that happiness.
We are told that we need to find love to be happy. That message is communicated to us via television, books, music etc. What we are not told, is that the true love that we need to find is within ourselves. I am living proof that once you truly learn to love yourself, a new light begins to shine within you. Darkness doesn’t exist when you walk in the room. That is how I feel now.
“What we are not told, is that the true love that we need to find is within ourselves.”
My life is truly awesome. I have great people around me and I am able to recognize those things now that I am coming from a place of love. I don’t treat anyone in a way the I wouldn’t want to be treated. I value friendships and truly listen to my inner intuition about the people that I am around. Now, I listen to their spirit and keep people close to me that speak the same language as mine!
Growth ♦ Prosperity ♦ Love
I use to keep things bottled up inside. Now, I know how to let myself “feel”; be upset; then get over it because life is too short to walk around with hatred in my heart. A goal of mine is to live a life full of love. A life where there is love all around me because it is radiating from my skin! A life where everyone that comes in close proximity falls victim to the love that I’m spreading. The love that comes from within me.
Photo: Myself in New York looking at the Brooklyn Bridge. This was taken on my twenty-ninth birthday. I remember being so thankful for the life that I have and the joy that I feel everyday. How thankful I was to have the opportunity to take some time out and have that experience. It was truly a spiritual retreat. #chaptertwentynine
